OAKLANDS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
One of our favourite wedding venues for two of our favourite people.
Oh boy, do we love Oaklands near Brandesburton just north of Hull, there are not many venues locally that compare if you like the outdoorsy rustic style of wedding and after a brilliant day shooting a wedding there last year we couldn't wait to get back for Stacey and Roberts big day.
After meeting these guys and their lovely family on Beverley Westwood for their engagement shoot a couple of months earlier we knew we would be in for a brilliant day with their infectious personalities and we certainly weren't disappointed.
Starting off with some fun bridal prep at Broadgate Farm Cottages near Walkington we had a great time and would highly recommend the cottages to anyone getting married in the area wanting a rustic yet boutique base to stay.
After meeting the girls and a very emotional father daughter first look (one that will stay with us a long time) we headed off to the venue with a sense of excitement and anticipation.
Oaklands just never disappoints.
From the moment you drive down the never ending entrance to Oaklands which opens up to the lake and Tipi you know you are in for something special.
The jetty where the ceremony is held just has to be one of the best views in the region to say "I Do" and not even the rain on the day could spoil it.
We had more tears and bucket loads of emotion during the day, and some amazing early evening light when the sun finally came out for some beautiful portraits.
First dance under the stars.
The one thing that sets Oaklands apart for us more then any other is the superb First Dance under the stars and again we shot some beautiful moments that will stay with us for a long while.
