Jessica & Will’s Elegant Black Tie Wedding at Rise Hall!

There are weddings that leave a lasting impression—not just for their beauty, but for the atmosphere, the people, and the sheer sense of joy that lingers long after the last dance. Jessica and Will’s black-tie wedding at Rise Hall was one of those unforgettable days: timeless, elegant, and full of love.

From the moment we arrived at Rise Hall, the tone of the day was set.

The stately charm of this grand Yorkshire country house created the perfect backdrop for Jessica and Will’s sophisticated celebration. With its sweeping driveway, ornate interiors, and lovingly restored architecture, Rise Hall feels like something out of a Jane Austen novel—but with all the modern amenities that make a wedding day run seamlessly.

THE VENUE: Rise Hall Wedding Photography

Located just outside Hull, Rise Hall is a historic Georgian mansion surrounded by 30 acres of picturesque parkland. Known for its elegant design and rich history, the venue offers a unique blend of grandeur and intimacy.

Originally built in the early 19th century and lovingly restored by designer Sarah Beeny, Rise Hall has quickly become one of Yorkshire’s most sought-after wedding venues.

What makes Rise Hall so special—especially for photographers—is the incredible variety of settings it offers. The natural light pouring through the tall sash windows, the stunning period details in every room, the dramatic staircase, and the serene gardens all combine to create a dream canvas. No matter the season or the weather, there’s always somewhere beautiful to shoot.

THE WEDDING

Jessica was the picture of classic elegance in a fitted gown with delicate lace detailing and a long flowing veil. Her bouquet by the alwasy wonderful Ivy Lane perfectly complemented the timeless theme.

Will looked equally dashing in a sharp black tuxedo, and their wedding party followed suit in formal black-tie attire, creating a refined and cohesive look throughout.

The ceremony took place in Rise Hall’s light-filled Drawing Room, where the couple exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by close family and friends. The room’s elegant décor and soft neutral palette provided a romantic, sophisticated atmosphere, with subtle floral arrangements enhancing the setting without overpowering it.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was when Jessica stepped into the aisle and saw Will waiting for her at the end. The look on her face—pure emotion, joy, and love—was everything. It was one of those beautiful, unscripted moments where time seems to pause. You could feel the connection between them fill the entire room. Capturing that split second was truly a privilege.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the lawn while we stole a few quiet moments with Jessica and Will for portraits. The golden evening light filtering through the trees and the rolling countryside made for some of our favorite images of the day.

Dinner was served in the stunning Orangery, followed by emotional speeches, laughter, and a packed dance floor that carried the celebration late into the night. Every detail had been carefully considered—from the calligraphy place settings to the candlelit tables—making the entire day feel like a beautiful, curated experience.

A SPARKLING EXIT

As the evening came to a close, Jessica and Will were sent off in true celebratory style—with a sparkler exit that lit up the night.

Their guests lined the festoon lit patio outside Rise Hall, waving glowing sparklers and cheering as the couple walked hand-in-hand through a tunnel of light and laughter.

It was the perfect, magical end to a perfect day—romantic, joyful, and cinematic.

These moments always make for some of the most iconic images, and Jessica and Will’s was no exception.
